The pace of change in healthcare shows no sign of slowing with patents, drug pricing, new market entrants and government policy, largely from the US, all impacting the sector. Gareth Powell, Co-head of the Polar Capital Healthcare team, discusses these as well as other potential developments, including the adoption of technology, disruption and risk from competition across the sector and the effect of the increase in the utilisation of healthcare to cover the COVID-19-induced backlog.
